The bid will be awarded subsequently at a regular meeting of the Jefferson Borough Council held at the Jefferson Borough Office on December 5, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. All bids must be plainly marked "BIDS FOR REFUSE COLLECTION AND RECYCLABLE COLLECTION FOR JEFFERSON BOROUGH" on the outside of the envelope and delivered to the attention of CGA Law Firm, Solicitor for Jefferson Borough Bids forms and specifications may be obtained at the Jefferson Borough Office, located at 48 Baltimore Street, Jefferson, Pennsylvania, Monday to Wednesday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Either party may choose to discontinue the contract at the end of the initial three (3) year period or at the end of the first one year extension, if the contract is so extended. All bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, bank money order or bid bond with corporate surety in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) of the bid payable to the Borough of Jefferson. The successful Contractor will be required to post a performance bond in the amount equal to the pro-rated contract price for the first year within 20 days after the award has been made by the Jefferson Borough Council, which performance bond must be renewed on an annual basis. Jefferson Borough Council reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities and the right to reject any and all bids. No Contractor may withdraw its bid for a period of 45 days after the date set for the opening thereof.
