This Contract provides for electrical maintenance services including installation, repair, and replacement work at City owned or leased facilities, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the General Conditions. The City intends to award one contract for an initial period of three (3) years, with an option to renew for up to one (1) additional year. This is a Unit Priced Contract in accordance with RCW 35.22, the City reserves the right to perform work using this Contract, or using City staff, or other contractors, or through any mechanism available to the City. This Contract is for the convenience of the City and does not carry any estimates as to how much could be spent. Each individual project shall be performed upon Contractor's receipt of a City issued Purchase Order. Contractor shall commence work on the date specified on the Purchase Order and within the allowable Working Days specified on the Purchase Order. The period of the Bid's prices shall be for one (1) year, commencing on the effective date of the Contract. This Contract shall have prevailing wage rates updated annually, yearly cost adjustments may be made accordingly at the discretion of the City. Contractor shall submit request for cost adjustments at least thirty (30) days prior to the end of the Contract year. An Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages must be filed at the beginning of the Contract year and an Affidavit of Wages Paid must be filed annually for any public work completed within the previous twelve (12) month period. Yearly material cost adjustments may be made accordingly at the discretion of the City. Cost adjustments shall be in accordance with the Consumer Price Index for the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area. Contractor shall submit request and justification for cost adjustments at least thirty (30) days prior to Contract renewal. The adjusted price will be approved at the beginning of each year's extension at the sole discretion of the City and must be firm for the remainder of year.
