All work required shall be completed within one hundred eighty (180) Calendar Days from the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted on the Louisiana Uniform Public Works Bid Form furnished with the Bidding Documents. Bids shall be accepted only from contractors who are licensed under LS R.S. 37:2150- 2163 for the classification of Building Construction. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his/her address, contractor's state license number and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. In addition to paper bids, electronic bids and electronic bid bonds for the following project will be downloaded by the Pointe Coupee Fire District #5 agent Domain Architecture. The public entity advertising for bids for work may require the bidders to attach bid security in the form of a bid bond, a certified check, or cashier's check for not more than five percent of the estimated price of supplies or materials, as evidence of good faith of the bidder as prescribed by La R.S. 38: 2218(A). To address the above requirement for electronic bids the Pointe Coupee Fire District #5 will allow electronic bids submitted via the approved on-line bid site to be submitted as follows: A. A copy of the bid bond must be attached to bid document submitted electronically. The original bid bond document must be received in the architects office no later than 48 hours after bid opening date and time (Domain Architecture -8316 Kelwood Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70806). The bid-bond envelope must be clearly labeled as a Bid Bond with the project name, vendors name as it appears on the bid documents and address. All addenda, Amendments, Letters of Clarification, and Withdrawal Notices will be posted online in addition to electronic copies being distributed. The Pointe Coupee Fire District #5 reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any formalities, and to reject nonconforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
