As of September 19, 2024, this solicitation has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Questions Deadline: 12/13/2022 04:30 PM (ET) This habitat restoration project is funded by the Town of Brookhaven and the Suffolk County Water Quality Protection and Restoration Program. The project has multiple tasks, with some tasks like grading and planting done by Town staff. The remaining tasks, deliverable by August 1, 2023, are the responsibility of the contractor, namely: Task 1: Survey the 1-acre site, design a native garden and obtain all required permits to fully restore the site. This task includes a grading plan to control erosion into Swan River. Task 2. Chemical analysis of soil. The area that needs habitat restoration used to be a car dealership and may have contaminated soils. This task will produce a detailed laboratory report that satisfies permitting requirements listing any sediment contaminates. Task 3. Landscaping plan. This task includes a landscaping plan that gives planting location and numbers of all recommended native trees, grasses, and forbs. The task will also include a planting schedule and a long-term maintenance plan for the native garden. This is an invitation to submit a sealed RFP for the furnishing of supplies, equipment and/or services subject to the terms and conditions and special instruction of this RFP.
