Hanging Baskets: a. 18" black, self-watering baskets supplied by the Town of Didsbury, including the hangers. All other materials, including plants, growing medium and fertilizer shall be supplied by the Contractor. b. 50 baskets (18" wide tops x 9" tall with 4L reservoirs). Approximately 15 kg soil capacity. All baskets are a durable plastic. c. The growing medium shall be the Contractor's choice. d. The fertilizer shall be slow release at the Contractor's discretion and supplemented by regular applications of 20-20-20 water soluble fertilizer by Town of Didsbury Parks staff. Barrel Planters: a. Ten (10) 30" barrels supplied by the Town of Didsbury. All other materials, including plants, growing medium, fertilizer shall be supplied by the Contractor. b. The growing medium shall be the Contractor's choice. c. The fertilizer shall be slow release at the Contractor's discretion and supplemented by regular applications of 20-20-20 water soluble fertilizer by Town of Didsbury Parks staff. Basket/ Barrel Materials: a. On the RFQ Form, please specify the various plant species that will be used for the designs. b. The Town recommends six (6) plants per hanging basket, and eight (8) plants per barrel of the Great Lakes Easy Wave Petunia. c. Every basket and barrel should be vibrant and colourful. d. All plants must be greenhouse grown, hardened off, in bloom and ready for display by the first week of June 2023. e. All plant and materials shall be free of weeds, insects and diseases. Award of any submission will be in the form of written notice, duly authorized from the Town. No other communication from the Town or a representative of the Town shall constitute an award
