Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Florence, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood LLC. PLEASE NOTE: The estimated value listed for this project is for searchability purposes only and does not reflect the actual construction budget as determined by the owner. It should not be used for estimation purposes at this time. The scope of work shall consist of all components including but not limited to the grading, drainage, paving other associated site work, and architectural work to construct a 1,901 gross s.f. Utilities Payment Center for the City of Florence Alabama. The building shall consist of space for staff including restrooms, break area, storage, and teller work area complete with teller work stations and bank vacuum tube delivery system. There shall be six paved drive through lanes with customer tube system kiosks under a full canopy. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000 payable without recourse to the City of Florence Utilities. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after Notice of Award. The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and payment bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price upon the forms provided. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. This project is considered a "Public Works" project and is governed by competitive bid laws as contained in Title 39 (1997) of the Alabama Code. Bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and Bond Agents should be familiar with this code. The attention of all Bidders is called to the provisions of State law governing "General Contractor", as set forth in ALA.CODE 34-8-1, et seq. (1975), and rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids.
