Asphalt, Concrete and Drainage Improvements Project Bids are invited upon the items and approximate quantities of work as follows: Bid Schedule A Approximately 500 SqFt of Asphalt Surfacing Milling; 24,500 SqFt of Full Depth Asphalt Milling, 1,000 CuYd of Unclassified Excavation; 2,800 SqYd of Geotextile Separator Fabric; 770 Tons of Gravel Base Course; 525 Tons of Asphalt Concrete Composite (Class E, Type I); and other misc. construction items. Bid Schedule A- Alternate Bid Approximately 500 SqFt of Asphalt Surfacing Milling; 6,000 SqFt of Full Depth Asphalt Milling, 225 CuYd of Unclassified Excavation; 700 SqYd of Geotextile Separator Fabric; 700 SqYd of Reinforcing Geogrid; 185 Tons of Gravel Base Course; 125 Tons of Asphalt Concrete Composite (Class E, Type I); Pavement Marking and other misc. construction items. The approximate quantities mentioned above are subject to increase or decrease. It will be agreed by bidders that all quantities of work will be performed in accordance with the provisions of the plans and specifications and at the unit price bid. Bidders agree to furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete all the work as shown in the plans and specifications. Additionally, upon request, in accordance with South Dakota Codified Law 5-18B-1, one copy of Plans and Specifications shall be furnished, without charge, to each Contractor resident in South Dakota who intends, in good faith, to bid upon the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Aberdeen School District 6-1, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. Bids may be held by the Aberdeen School District 6-1 for a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders and completing financial arrangements prior to awarding the Work.
