The project consists of General Construction Renovations and Repairs, along with all associated finishes required to complete the Project and as follows: New vented hoods and associated mechanical changes. electrical modifications to support new mechanical equipment, existing louver to be replaced, and miscellaneous metals to be installed for hood support. This project is located within a secure correctional facility. The Contractor shall abide by all specific requirements of a detention facility. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work: HVAC and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed Update Statement (CQ3). General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), in the form of a certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check and made payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from a responsible bank or trust company; cash; or a bid bond from a licensed surety.
