The Board of Education of School District #38 (Richmond) is inviting Proposals for the selection, purchase, design and support, training, maintenance, and warranty of a video surveillance system for ten (10) Secondary Schools and potentially selected Elementary Schools depending on budget. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit competitive proposals for the most appropriate system to manage the surveillance of District property where vandalism, safety or security issues are likely to occur. The Products and Services include without limitation the supply, delivery, design, support, training, maintenance, documentation and warranty of a video surveillance system and its component parts for the District’s ten (10) Secondary Schools and potentially selected Elementary Schools. The Contractor will provide all required labour, materials, equipment, software and necessary licenses. The Contractor will assist the District with design/camera locations and model selections and is expected to provide installation support to the District. The District will run all wiring, install all cameras, and will provide and install all network switches. The VMS portion of the Product can be: a) Cloud-based, VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service), or; b) On-premise, utilizing an appliance or PC server, or; c) A combination of both of the above in a hybrid system. The term of the Agreement will be two (2) years beginning March 1, 2023 and ending February 28, 2025, with two (2) X one (1) year optional extensions at mutually acceptable terms and conditions.
