Scope: The District seeks eligible equipment as outlined in Appendix A. Equipment shall be new, factory-sealed equipment currently available from the manufacturer; the District will not accept proposals of used, remanufactured, refurbished, "B stock," returns, open-box, discontinued, "gray market," or equipment in any other condition other than new and factory-sealed with all original manufacturer warranties. Installation of the switches will not be required for this project. The installation of the APs at the high school will not be required for this project. The only installation services requested in this RFP are for the fiber runs as described below. The contractor shall provide and install all equipment, materials, cabling, hardware and labor required to deliver a complete and fully functional fiber optic cabling as specified. All runs should parallel existing multimode fiber runs that are currently in production. All terminations shall meet or exceed TIA/EIA568-B.1 ratings. All cables shall be tested in accordance with the ANSI/TIA/EIA standards, and best industry practice. If any of these are in conflict, the Contractor shall bring any discrepancies to the attention of the project team for clarification and resolution. At the request of Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation, the contractor shall provide copies of the original test results. Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation may request that a 10% random field re-test be conducted on the cable system, at no cost, to verify documented findings. Fiber Optic Cabling shall be Corning Singlemode OS2 or equivalent. The contractor shall supply 1RU Fiber shelf enclosures and the required Fiber adapter panels for each MDF and IDF in which fiber is to be terminated. Panduit is the preferred manufacturer for enclosures and adapter panels. Panel Blanks to be supplied as needed. All strands shall be terminated, at each end, into Duplex SC fiber adapter panels. All bids shall be in compliance with the laws governing such matters and the Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any formality in the process.
