The Township requires compliance with the provisions of Ordinance 2022-08, Responsible Contractor Requirements for Township Contracts. If a firm fails to provide a Contractor Responsibility Certification required by this section in any bid submission to the Township, such failure shall constitute grounds to reject such bid as non-compliant with this ordinance and shall disqualify such firm from bidding. No action of any nature shall lie against the Township because of its refusal to accept or award a bid for failing to provide information required by this section. The Notice of Intent to Award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for Monday, January 23, 2023. The project must be completed no later than one hundred twenty (120) days after notice to proceed. In the event of a delay to the project completion terms as per the Schedule for which Contractor is solely responsible, Contractor shall pay Liquidated Damages to Radnor Township at a rate of $880.00 per day of delay for every day beyond the one hundred twenty (120) days allowed for project completion. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bid Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to add or delete portions of work based on budgetary constraints, to waive any informalities and to reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township.
