Note: Requests for Information (RFI) Will Only Be Accepted Up to Close of Business December 8, 2022. Any RFI Received After This Date Will Not Be Considered. The project consists of furnishing materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the construction of a new Sodium Hypochlorite Storage and Feed System at the Alexander Orr, Jr. Water Treatment Plant. The facility will replace the existing chlorine gas and pilot sodium hypochlorite storage and feed system used for disinfection throughout the plant. The purpose of the facilities will be to provide storage of concentrated liquid sodium hypochlorite which will be pumped to the necessary discharge points throughout the Plant by metering pumps. Estimate - $5,317,669.52 (Construction $4,705,902.23 + Allowances & Contingency) Project Duration: 575 Calendar Days, plus a 58-day contingency period This contract has Small Business Enterprise (SBE) goals as follows: Construction 8.58%, Goods 0%, Services 0%. Goals are based on the construction estimate plus the 10% Contingency Allowance. This contract has a 0.00% Community Workforce Program goal. The contractor will need to comply with Section 2-11.17 of the MDC Code, inclusive of all amendments, including the apprentice and on-the-job training requirements. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a bid security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful contractor must execute a one hundred (100%) Surety Performance and Payment Bonds. NO BIDDER MAY WITHDRAW HIS BID WITHIN 120 DAYS FROM BID OPENING DATE. The Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade County, Florida, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid or to re-advertise for bids. Bids from any person, firm or Corporation in default on other contracts or agreements with the County may be rejected. Failure by the Bidder to satisfy claims on previous contracts with the County may be cause for rejection of his bid. The County reserves the right to postpone or cancel the bid opening at any time prior to the scheduled opening of bids.
