The Project consists of approximately 420 feet of 8 water main in open trench, 155 feet of 8" water main in uncased bore, two 8 water main line stops, 1 fire hydrant, associated fittings, 1 meter vault, 14 sq yards of pavement replacement, 228 square feet of sidewalk replacement, 18 feet of curb and gutter replacement, seeding, and related improvements. All bids shall be accompanied by a bank cashiers check, for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The Adams County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. Extension of the 8 inch water main from Maine Street approximately 500 feet and conversion of the existing private 8 inch water main serving Adams County facilities to a public water main In Quincy, on North 52nd Street, from Maine Street to Broadway The NORTH 52ND STREET - WATER MAIN EXTENSION consists of extending an 8 inch water main from the intersection of North 52nd & Maine east along North 52nd Street approximately 500 feet and connecting the main to the existing water main serving various Adams County facilities. The existing water main along North 52nd will be converted to a public water main by installing a new meter vault for the Highway Department, new interior meter for the Juvenile Detention Facility, and removing the existing meter vault at 52nd & Broadway.
