Charleston County School District is looking for Architectural/Engineering Design firms to submit qualifications for this RFQ. The scope includes the demolition of the existing facility at James Island Campus, and construction of a new 74,000sf building. The work includes, but is not limited to, the demolition of the existing James Island Campus Facility and the construction of a new fully sprinkled, 74,000 square foot building located at the James Island Campus at 1484 Camp Road. The facility will be composed predominantly of load bearing masonry veneered with brick and reinforced with structural steel, joists, trusses, and metal decking. The roof system is a modified bituminous sheet system. Unitary split-system heat pumps will be used for the majority of the spaces with a separate make-up air system providing outside air. Finishes will include, but are not limited to: SVT, terrazzo, ceramic and quarry tile, polished concrete flooring,carpet, acoustical ceilings, paint, casework, marker/tack boards, and kitchen equipment. The work will include basic electrical services, electrical life safety systems, technology items, and cable trays. Sitework will and consist of the installation of utilities, paving, sidewalks, curb & gutter, fencing, grassing and landscaping. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
