All sealed proposals shall be submitted to the "Owner", Frank Ball, Supervisor of Operations, one (1) original and two (2) copies in sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside with the name of the Bidder and Sealed Bid for "SASD Indian Valley Abatement Project". Proposal shall be mailed via USPS, shipped via Fed Ex or UPS, or delivered to "Owner" and received not later than date & time as stated above. Oral, telephonic (facsimile, e-mail, or telex), or telegraphic bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. The specification manual including bidding documents will only be made available at the mandatory pre-bid conference for a non-refundable fee of $75.00 made payable to Mountain Environmental. The multi-phase abatement activities will consist of removal of asbestos containing floor tile and associated mastic via grinding, sinks, chalk/tack boards, thermal system insulation, windows, and doors. Also included will be small-scale removal of lead-based coating from steel beams where necessary. This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act Mountain Environmental will be responsible for submitting abatement notification, project oversite, daily air monitoring via PCM, visual and TEM clearances and all other compliance testing and monitoring. The Souderton Area School District has the right to accept or refuse any and all bids or portions of bids submitted for this project.
