All questions and Requests for Information regarding the plans and specifications will only be given consideration if sent via facsimile or e-mail to Joe Adams, The Collaborative Inc, Fax: 419-242-7400, or e-mail jadams@tc.design. Questions received less than 72 hours before the bid opening will not be answered. Requests for consideration of any Proposed Equal for a specified product, equipment, service, or manufacturer shall be submitted to the Architect no later than 10 calendar days prior to the bid opening. Additional products, equipment, services, or manufacturers shall be approved as Approved Equal only by Addendum. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the bid or a money order, certified check, or cashiers check in the amount of 10 percent of the bid. Upon award of the contract a 100 percent Performance Bond will be required from the successful bidder. Any and all bonds required to be furnished and delivered pursuant to the Contract shall be in conformity with the provisions of applicable laws of Michigan. Specifically, any and all bonds required shall be issued and executed by a surety company authorized to conduct business in Michigan and shall be acceptable to the Architect and Owner. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of thirty 30 days after bid opening. The Owner may waive any informali- ties and irregularities, which in its opin- ion do not materially affect the bid docu- ment. The Owner also reserves the right to award the contract in a manner which is in the their best interest. The Project consists of the alteration of three existing buildings and construction of a new building.
