The Baytown Area Water Authority (BAWA) seeks competitive bids for LIQUID ZINC SODIUM POLYPHOSPHATE. The purpose of these specifications is to describe the minimum requirements of BAWA for an annual LIQUID ZINC SODIUM POLYPHOSPHATE contract. The quantities on the Invitation to Bid are estimates. These estimates are for acquainting the bidder with probable quantities to be expected during the contract period. These estimates are not intended to set forth minimum or maximum quantities of this contract. The product delivered under this Specification must conform to the American National Standards Institute/National Sanitation Foundation Institute for Drinking-Water Treatment Chemical-Health Effects, ANSI/NSF 60, and to the American National Standards Institute/American Water Works Association standard B506-18 for Liquid Zinc Sodium Polyphosphate or the most current AWWA standard. 2. The Liquid Zinc Sodium Polyphosphate solution will be prepared so that a homogeneous, well-mix product is received at BAWA's location as identified in section 3.2 of these specifications. 3. The chemical and physical properties of the Liquid Zinc Sodium Polyphosphate delivered under this Specification shall be as follows: The vendor provides certification for each lot or batch number that meets the requirements of NSF/ANSI 60 and AWWA B506-18 or the latest revision. The certification must be received before shipment acceptance. A certificate of analysis will be provided with each batch or lot for the following tests. The acceptance criteria given below must be met. Test Acceptance Criteria o Zinc 1.8 - 2.3% by weight o Polyphosphate 14 - 18% by weight o Specific gravity(C)20C 1.3 - 1.8
