This project includes: Interior renovation of the existing Student Services and Special Education Suites, including demolition of concrete block, clay tile, and stud/gyp bd walls, doors and frames, storefronts, ceiling, and associated mechanical and electrical demolition, as well as the rebuilding of new stud/gyp bd walls, new doors and frames, new storefronts, new ceilings, interior finishes, and associated new mechanical and electrical work. Make proposals on the bid forms supplied in the Project Manual. No oral, telegraphic, or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered. Submit with each bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond payable to Independent School District #621 in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. Bids may not be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids, or parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. The Owner requires Substantial Completion of the project on or before August 18, 2023. 1. Architectural a. Demolition of existing gyp bd/concrete block/clay tile walls, ceilings, storefronts, and finishes. b. Installation of new gyp bd walls, ceilings, storefronts, hollow metal frames with wood doors, casework, signage, glazing, as well as interior finishes. 2. Mechanical Systems a. Modifications to existing mechanical systems to accommodate new room layouts. b. Installation of new mechanical equipment, including structural improvements, as required. 3. Electrical Systems a. Modifications to existing electrical systems, including lights and power, to accommodate new room layouts. 4. Keep Architect fully informed about progress of the work, performance of the work and potential problems.
