Environmental remediation and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Edenton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for environmental remediation for a two-story above grade educational facility.
Edenton-Chowan Schools has retained M. B. Kahn Construction Company as their Construction Manager at Risk to manage the preconstruction and construction activities of the new high school project. The District and Construction Manager are seeking a certified roofing contractor to remove roof, core, patch, and provide a watertight repair at approximately 14 locations on the existing metal roof at John A. Holmes High School (600 Woodard St, Edenton, NC 27932), for the purposes of hazardous material testing (testing to be completed by JWJ Consulting) On-Site Work to be coordinated with hazardous material consultant (between 12-20-2022 - 01-16-2022) Scope of Work 1. All work will be completed after normal school hours or at times that do not impact the normal educational function of the school district. 2. Remove roof, core, patch, and provide a watertight repair at approximately 14 areas of metal roof on the existing John A. Holmes High School. Exact locations to be coordinated with JWJ Consulting. PLEASE NOTE: Overall construction cost will be between $50-75,000,000. The value of this RFP is not yet known. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
