Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; 45,000-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and pre-engineered storage facility.

You are invited to submit a bid for providing materials and construction services for building outbuildings behind the Large Animal Facility at Suffield High School. The project includes constructing two sheds, moving existing small structures, fence work, concrete work, and site work necessary to complete the project. The Project consists of construction of outbuildings, concrete work, fencing, and general site work behind the current Large Animal Facility. B. The Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Moving current chicken coops. 2. Resetting of existing fence as well as additional fencing. 3. Concrete work for floor of buildings, sidewalks, and thresholds of buildings. 4. One L-shaped storage shed (75' x 40' x 15') 5. One rectangular animal shed (52' x 15' 3" 6. Bituminous pavement replacement as needed 7. General site work as needed No Bid will be accepted after the time set for the openings of bids and no bidder may withdraw his bid within 120 days of opening thereof. The Town of Suffield reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids when such action is deemed in the best interest of the Town. Non-discrimination in Employment: Bidders on this auction will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 112246. A 5% bid bond is required for this project. Any bid may be withdrawn by the bidder prior to the time scheduled for receipt of bids. No bid may be withdrawn within 120 days of the bid opening The town may make such investigations as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work and the bidder shall provide the Town with any information requested for this purpose. The Town reserves the right to reject any bid if the investigation of such bidder indicates that the bidder is not qualified to complete the project or has previously failed to properly perform or complete on time any contract. Any bid which contains any omissions, alterations of form, additions or alternates not called for, erasures or corrections, or any irregularities may be disregarded or rejected as improper except that the Town may waive any defects or irregularities. The Town of Suffield reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality and non-material deficiencies in bidding if it is determined to be in the best interests of the Town of Suffield. Any bids that are submitted or received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be rejected. This project does not require Prevailing Wage Rates.
