Site work for a water / sewer project in San Antonio, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of 9/14/2023, this project has not yet been awarded. Award details will be made available following September SAWS Board meeting. This project will rehabilitate and replace approximately 1,917 LF of 8-inch and 24-inch gravity sewer main utilizing pipe burst, pipe jacking, and open cut methods. The sewer mains are located at two locations within the City of San Antonio and near railroad tracks. These locations are in COSA public right of way, private property and Union Pacific Railroad right of way. One site will include a bore under Union Pacific right of way. This project is part of the work required by San Antonio's agreement with the U.S. EPA to address sewer infrastructure in need of repair due to condition assessment across the city. When Will Work Occur Construction is planned to begin April 2023. Estimated overall construction duration is 11 months. What to expect: Site 1 will involve 100LF 42" casing to be pipe jacked under UPRR ROW followed by installation of 24" carrier pipe, the remainder of the work at this site being open cut Site 2 will involve pipe bursting and open cut Both sites will involve RailPros coordination and settlement monitoring Both sites will involve sewer bypass
