General Contracting work as part of DPSCD's FMP Series 2 work. This scope is for conversion of existing locker and shower areas to provide classroom spaces while other areas of the existing building are under construction as part of DPSCD's 2022 Capital Improvements - Series 1 Project. The project involves interior renovations and modifications to the existing HVAC system to condition classroom spaces CLARIFICATIONS TO OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE: Jon DePew II - jon.depew@plantemoran.com December 9th , 2022 @ 4:00pm EST Summary of Service by Category Selective Demolition: o Portions of existing walls and ceilings will be removed as required to create new corridors and as to modify the existing mechanical system to support converted classroom spaces. Miscellaneous items including lockers, hand dryers, doors interior glazing, etc. will be removed as well, refer to drawings and specifications. Existing piping will be removed as indicated and capped as noted Architectural/General Trades: o Existing floors will be modified to comply with building codes and will receive new finishes o New partitions will be created to divide existing spaces, conceal existing mechanical piping, and to create egress corridors. Existing partitions will be modified and receive new finishes o Lay-in ACT will be added to previously exposed ceiling construction and bulkheads will be created to transition between spaces Mechanical: o Existing mechanical system units will be modified to condition new classrooms and corridor spaces based on revised footprint. Controls will be added/modified to the existing system o Diffusers, grilles, equipment, and new duct branches will be added and modified to align to architectural modifications of existing spaces o Modifications to existing sprinkler system per architectural modifications Electrical: o Existing spaces will be modified as noted to supply new power and data for classroom programs o New lighting fixtures, emergency egress lighting and controls will be added to modified classroom and corridor spaces o Existing panels will be modified as noted to remove demo'd devices and equipment and will tie new equipment and devices as indicated on drawings. Existing panels will also be modified to serve modified mechanical systems o Existing fire alarm devices and systems will be modified based on changes to occupancy and architectural modifications Bid and Award - 12/2/22 - 12/19/22
