Replace/Repair sidewalks on designated areas on campus that are cracked or uneven. The Illinois School for the Deaf is looking for bidders to remove old concrete sidewalks in areas around Cullom Hall, concrete sidewalks on Northwest side of Officer Hall and concrete sidewalks on Southeast side of Horner Hall. Please see RFQ for further descriptions. Diagrams will be provided at the Prebid meeting. Remove old, broken, or damaged concrete sidewalks at Cullom, Officer, and Horner Hall. Bidders must; Remove and dispose of all concrete and spoils. Diagrams will be provided at pre-bid meeting. All areas will require at least 4" or 6" underlayment of 3/4 " clean rock under new concrete. Some areas will require contractor to pin new concrete to existing concrete and wire mesh to be installed. New concrete shall be a 6-bag mix with fiber mesh. Contractor shall be responsible for all clean up. All backfill will be good clean dirt and all areas seeded after final grade. All damage to the grounds from vehicles shall be repaired and seeded. Cullom Hall has a Sidewalk south approxiamtely 75' that starts behind the golfcart shed as well as a 10' section at the top of the North steps. Officer Hall needs 2 sections of sidewalk replaced On the northwest side of the building. Horner Hall has a 36' and a 24' section degraded needing replaced. This Sidewalk connects to the handicap ramp on the east side of the building. Health Center has approximately a 90' section of concrete from the Main Building North to the Health Center. Bidder must supply all equipment, tools, building materials, dumpsters and labor to complete this job. Bidder must install new concrete with wire mesh for re-enforcement and expansion joints where needed. Bidder must daily and upon completion of the job, clean up all construction debris such as nails, screws and other construction materials.
