LAC DU FLAMBEAU BAND OF LAKE SUPERIOR CHIPPEWA INDIANS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR EMERGENCY GENERATOR NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians will receive sealed proposals from qualified vendors for provision, delivery and installation of a new emergency LP fueled generator at the Tribe's Lac du Flambeau Youth Center. Located at 13708 Youth Center Lane in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin, the Youth Center provides alternative, positive activities for youth to ameliorate alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse, and abate delinquent behavior among youth on the Lac du Flambeau Reservation. The generator must be adequate for providing full emergency power to the Youth Center. The generator shall not be less than 100kW, and the successful bidder shall be responsible for determining adequate size and confirming sizing of the generator with the generator supplier. The successful bidder will also be required to install two concrete pads and protective fencing and provide and install a 1,000 gallon LP tank. All labor, materials and equipment are to be provided by the successful bidder. Proposals must comply with the requirements set forth in the RFP and be submitted, with copies, in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside. The Tribe will not assume responsibility for proposals mailed in through public or private mailing services. The Tribe reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to waive technical defects and make the award to the bidder most competent to serve the Tribe's requirements. Bidders may be asked to attend an interview prior to bid award. The successful bidder will enter into a contract with the Tribe, and will be expected to begin contract performance as soon as possible. Project completion date is dependent upon generator availability, but in no event shall project be completed later than one year from date of award.
