North Section - Reconstruction and widening of approx. 3,100 LF of Toro Grande Boulevard from RM 1431 (Whitestone Blvd) to New Hope Drive. This section includes completion of southbound lanes, removal of medians, relocation/replacement of street lights from the median to the shoulders, storm drain, water/wastewater, resurfacing of existing asphalt and pavement markings. Development of the southbound lanes to accommodate commercial development and maintain existing business access is a priority. South Section - New construction of approx. 1,600 LF of Toro Grande Boulevard from RM 1431 (Whitestone Blvd.) to a new roadway roundabout at "Commerce Street" and approx. 4,000 LF of "Commerce Street" connecting to FM 734 (Parmer Ln). This section includes a 4-lane divided roadway with raised medians, a bridge structure with aesthetic enhancements and overlooks over Brushy Creek, a new signalized intersection at Parmer Ln, streetlights, storm drain infrastructure, water/wastewater, shared use path/sidewalks, pedestrian connection to the Brushy Creek North Fork Trail, turn lane construction on FM 734 (Parmer Ln.) and reconfiguration on RM 1431 (Whitestone Blvd.), signal modification on RM 1431 (Whitestone Blvd.), asphalt paving, and pavement markings. Development of the section between RM 1431 (Whitestone Blvd.) and the bridge structure to accommodate commercial development is a priority. The estimated total base construction budget for this project is $29,275,000 and the not to exceed duration is 610 calendar days.
