Site work and paving for a road / highway in Cedar Park, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Cedar Park is seeking the services of qualified engineering consultants for project development of the new sections of Toro Grande Boulevard extending south from RM 1431 to Parmer Lane and north from RM 1431 to New Hope. The proposed roadway alignment starts at Parmer Lane approximately 2,850 feet south of the Parmer Lane/RM 1431 intersection, east and north to the Toro Grande/RM 1431 intersection and continues through the intersection north to New Hope Drive. The purpose of this project is to provide access to a future developable corridor in the southeast quadrant of the Parmer Lane/RM 1431 intersection and to complete the full roadway access north of RM 1431. This project will be designed as one alignment. However, plans, reports, quantities, bid documents and billing for this project will be separated into a north section from RM 1431 to New Hope and a south section from RM 1431, including intersection improvements, south and west to Parmer Lane. Funding for the south section of this project is provided through a cost share agreement with Williamson County. The project consists of the design and construction of Toro Grande Boulevard as a four-lane divided primary collector roadway with a raised median. Roadway improvements include intersection & signal improvements, turn lanes, a bridge structure, raised medians, sidewalk & shared-use path (SUP), bike lanes, connection to the Brushy Creek North Fork Trail, curb and gutter, drainage facilities, street lighting, illumination, water / wastewater and other utilities. Project development for the Toro Grande Extension Project shall include surveying, preparation of schematics, geotechnical services, ROW coordination, ROW acquisition, environmental services, compliance with TxDOT standards at intersections, all permitting, the identification of utility conflicts (if any), coordination with utility companies, outside agencies and stake holders. Coordination with property owner(s) will also be required to determine the best points of access to adjacent tracts for future development and utility stub out locations. Professional services will be project specific and may include but are not limited to the following: Attend preliminary design meeting(s) with City staff to discuss project time-line and schedule for project deliverables Prepare and update project schedule Coordinate with property owner(s) to establish best points of access to adjacent tracts for future development and utility stub out locations. Prepare Schematics, Environmental Reports, 60%, 90% and 100% plans, cost estimates and meet with City staff to review at each milestone. Separated and billed into north and south sections. ROW Coordination & Acquisition Prepare and submit all permit applications and supporting documents with TxDOT, TCEQ and any other necessary regulatory agencies Prepare competitive sealed proposal contract documents (front end and technical specifications) for use during proposal phase Provide construction phase services (bidding, contract admin, monthly meetings, requests for information, and change orders as needed) As of September 5, 2024, the short-listed firms have not been released.
