Renovation of a mixed-use development in Alton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Bid Package No. 10 - Main Building Auditorium Renovations The School District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive informalities therein to determine the lowest and best bid. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids. A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany the Bid Packages as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond; execute the Contract; and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit or amount of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or errors on the part of the Bidder shall excuse the Bidder or entitle him to a return of the deposit or Bid Bond. The prevailing wage law is in effect on this project. This project has a Project Labor Agreement with the Trade Unions. The Statutes of the State of Illinois require that not less than the prevailing rate per diem, legal holiday and overtime wages in the locality where the work is to be performed, be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed in the execution of the Contract. All other Statutes of the State of Illinois covering employment shall apply to any Contract awarded. Bidders must be in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. Participation by Minority and Female Business Enterprises is encouraged.
