The comprehensive plan is underway and should be completed in summer 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Pursuant to the City of Asheville's Procurement, Purchasing and Contracting Policy, Proposals will be received by the City of Asheville for the following:: Description of Work: The City of Asheville is soliciting Requests for Proposals ("RFP") from interested, qualified Consulting Firms to develop a Comprehensive Plan for the Parks and Recreation Department.The goal of the plan is to develop a city-wide parks and recreation plan that is both comprehensive and systematic which would improve sustainability, resiliency and quality of life for residents in the community and foster an achievable vision in Asheville's unique cultural heritage and environmental setting. Deadline to Submit Questions December 16, 2022 1 p.m. EST Anticipated Project Start March, 2023 The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
