Remodeling of a clubhouse / community center in Alleghany, California. Working plans call for the remodel of a 4,346-square-foot clubhouse / community center.
1. Demolition of interior elements including non-bearing walls, cutting, and patching of exterior walls and interior floors for new framing and plumbing, doors and windows, cutting and patching for new plumbing. 2. Exterior modifications to existing porch and balcony including removing a portion of the balcony and balcony roof and new railings. 3. Repairs to existing siding and roofing, including new flashing as indicated on drawings. 4. Building new main entry including new foundations, walls, headers, doors, and resurfacing existing concrete at porch. 5. Installation of new ADA lift, including new framing shear walls, drywall, doors, paint and lift installation. 6. Installation of new stage lift on second floor. 7. Construction of new restrooms, including new walls, finishes, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. 8. Construction and modifications of interior walls including new headers and related framing. 9. Installation of new interior and exterior doors. 10. Installation of new kitchen including new walls, rangehood, venting, floor sinks, mechanical work, electrical work. 11. Installation of new drywall walls and ceilings, patching of existing walls and ceilings. 12. Installation of new flooring. 13. Exterior and interior painting. 14. Installation of new hardware and accessories. 15. Plumbing work including new waste lines and water lines, underground piping, grease trap, and plumbing fixtures. 16. Demolition of portions of e. mechanical work, installation of new heat pump, heating and air system, make up air, and new rangehood and rangehood ducting and exhaust fan. 17. Installation of new main electrical service including new 400a panel, meter, trenching, pull boxes and duct from e. underground transformer. 18. Installation of new subpanels. 19. Installation of new outlets, lighting fixtures, equipment hook-ups and ADA lifts. 20. New exterior concrete work at west side alley. 21. General commissioning of new ADA lifts, kitchen equipment installation, mechanical system balancing and electrical system safety inspections for proper grounding and operating condition of all outlets and lights. All work shall be completed within the contract period of 140 working days following written Notice to Proceed. Bids shall be Lump Sum cost for the entire project. Bids must be for all the work described herein. Contractor will be required to possess a California Contractors License General A (with proper endorsements) or B Contractor's license or other applicable specialty license at the time the contract is awarded. All written requests, correspondence and/or communications of any kind regarding the project, that are submitted by mail, shall be addressed to: County of Sierra Department of Public Works P.O. Box 98 Downieville, CA 95936 Each bidder must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Bid Opening Date: 3:01 PM, January 24, 2023 Plans, specifications, proposal forms, project manuals and all documents relating to this project can be downloaded from the Sierra County Website; transmitted electronically; or be obtained at the office of the Department of Public Works, 101 Courthouse Square, P.O. Box 98, Downieville, CA 95936 (Telephone: 530-289-3201) and may be seen at said office. The bid shall be identified on the outside with the bidder's name, license number and address and with the project title. Each bid shall be accompanied by the bid security and other required documents. If the bid is sent by mail, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face thereof. Bids shall be deposited at the designated location prior to the time and date for receipt of bids indicated in the Invitation to Bid, or the modified time and date indicated by addendum. Bids received after the time and date for receipt of bids will be returned unopened. Bidder shall assume full responsibility for timely delivery at the location designated for receipt of bids. Oral, telephone, or telegraph bids are invalid and will not receive consideration. No bidder may submit more than one bid. Multiple bids under different names will not be accepted from one firm or association. The bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty bond (bid bond) duly completed on the form provided herewith, by a guaranty company authorized to carry on business in the State of California, for payment to County in the sum of at least 10 percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, or alternatively by a certified or cashier's check, payable to County in the sum of at least 10 percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The amount payable to County under the guaranty bond, or the certified or cashier's check and the amount thereof, as the case may be, shall be forfeited to County as liquidated damages in case of a failure or neglect of the bidder to furnish, execute and deliver to County the required performance and payment bonds, evidence of insurance, and to enter into, execute and deliver to County the contract on the form provided herewith, within seven (7) days after being notified in writing by County that the award has been made and the agreement is ready for execution. All bonds shall have a power of attorney authorizing the signature of the principal attached to the bond. The power of attorney signature and the principal's signature shall each (both) be notarized. The bid bond shall name County as beneficiary and shall specify that the bond is valid for the bid opening of this project as scheduled in the Invitation to Bid. Reservation of Rights. Owner specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids, or re-bid, or to waive inconsequential deviations from bid requirements not involving time, price, or quality of the work. The County of Sierra reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Completion Date: 140 Working days
