All bidders shall comply with the General Municipal Law {103. ITB - Mohawk River Park - Courts and Parking Lot Replacement Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, drawn upon a National or State Bank or Trust Company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, New York, or a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, conditioned that if his bid is accepted, suc- cessful bidder will enter into a contract for the same and that he will ex- ecute such further secu- rity as may be required for the performance of the contract. The bidder to whom the contract may be award- ed shall within seven (7) days after the date of notification of the accep- tance of his bid, provide insurance and security as required by the Con- tract in a form accept- able by the Owner. In case of his failure to do so, or in case of his fail- ure to give further secu- rity as herein prescribed, the bidder will be con- sidered as having aban- doned the same, and the certified check or other bid security accompany- ing his bid shall be for- feited to the Town. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirement that the Town of Colonie re- quires that contracts ex- ceeding $750,000 have an apprenticeship pro- gram in place. The Town Board of the Town of Colonie re- serves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted.
