379-016 SCOPE OF WORK
The general scope of work shall consist of clearing, snagging, and removal of wood and/or woody debris from designated streams or segments of streams, rivers, and channels throughout Lenoir County. Most of the wood and woody debris is a result of hurricane force winds or floodwaters experienced during Hurricane Florence in September of 2018. The purpose of the clearing and snagging work is to "cleanup" identified stream segments and improve overall drainage by removal of temporary block points created by falling woody debris. The debris clearing and removal will allow streams to flow more freely without such obstructions and will result in improved drainage. The scope of work will include snagging, clearing of fallen trees, logs, stumps, limbs, brush, tops, rubbish, and any other woody debris deposited in and 30 linear feet adjacent to the specified channels. The specified sites that will be restored under this work scope are identified by name, location, and stream length, in the below table entitled "Stream Segments Requiring Debris Removal". Maps are also included in Attachment H showing the approximate channel configuration and locations/segments to be addressed under this contract Deadline for Submittal of Questions: Friday, December 16th, 2022 at 3:00PM All questions pertaining to this RFP must be submitted in writing no later than Friday, December 16, 2022 by 3:00 PM. Only written questions will be considered as formal and will receive a reply via a published Addendum. Any questions the County determines are pertinent to all bidders, will be published in a public forum by Addendum as part of the RFP.
