Skylights investigation for the SSC, PE100, PE GYM, and LRC Buildings at Saddleback College. The recommendations from the design team will be used (with the Districts approval) to replace or repair. Provide the following research and design services pertaining to the installation of new Skylights at the SSC Building: Removal of existing skylights in their entirety. Replace with new skylights. Installation of new roof curbs. Replace all flashing, and roofing associated with the replacement. Roofing should be similar to existing in order to sustain the warranty. Provide a conditions report on the existing skylights at PE100, PE Gym and LRC Buildings. Phase I: Provide an assessment report of all the skylights pertaining to all aspects of waterproofing, condition, do they meet performance goals, deterioration of the glass. Phase II: Provide recommendations for repair/replacement. Cost estimate breakdown for all work. Services to include roof repair to maintain the roof warranty on all buildings, flashing, roof curbs and interior of skylights repair. NOTE: All building roofs are metal with a Garland warranty. The scope will also include meetings with Facilities to discuss a course of action/needs, construction documents and specifications for DSA submission, cost estimate at all stages of design, bidding, construction administration, and closeout of the project. The architectural services are further outlined in the Sample Architectural Services Agreement. The exact scope of services required by the District will be set forth in the Agreement between the District and the awarded Firm. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible firm judged to offer the most advantages and deemed the best fit for the District. At the time of the formal award, the apparent successful firm shall have agreed to contract terms representing the understandings between the parties as to terms and conditions which will govern the relationship of District and Proposer and the obligation of each party for performance of the Agreement. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. As of December 13, 2022, the due date and time has been confirmed with the owner.
