Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The existing secondary containment and transfer station spill containment areas needs to be sealed liquid-tight as per regulatory requirements. Environmental code and regulatory compliance will be achieved. A new sealant would be applied to the entire secondary containment floor and adjacent wall. All existing sealant along the perimeter of the containment areas would be removed and replaced with new to extend the life of the entire containment area. To perform the work, the existing fuel tanks will be elevated, and new steel I-beams supports will be installed underneath complete with seismic restraint. Temporary fuel tank will be installed for the duration of the short shut-down to modify the fuel tank piping and hoist the tanks upward. Facial coverings must be worn by all individuals where social distancing cannot be maintained. All individuals are to follow Federal and Provincial guidelines as they relate to COVID 19 preventative measures.
