GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The major work will consist of the (approximate) following: 16-inch through 54-inch Sanitary Sewer Mains TIME PERIOD AND RENEWALS The time period of this Agreement will be for one calendar year or the expiration of the funding, whichever occurs last. The City reserves the right to renew the contract for up to two (2) additional one calendar year time periods or up to two (2) additional funded expenditures of $1,250,000.00 under the same terms, conditions and unit prices. The City shall provide at least sixty (60) days' notice to the Contractor of the Citys intent to renew. PREQUALIFICATION Certain improvements included in this project must be performed by a contractor or designated subcontractor who is pre-qualified by the City at the time of bid opening. The procedures for qualification and pre-qualification are outlined in the Section 3 of 00 21 13 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Additional prequalification pertaining to emergency project experience, staff and equipment capacity and response time is required. All Addenda will be distributed directly to those who have expressed an interest in the procurement and will also be posted in the City of Fort Worths purchasing website electronically A prebid conference will not be held as discussed in Section 00 21 13 - INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS at the following date, and time: Since a prebid conference is not being held, prospective bidders can e-mail questions or comments in accordance with Section 6 of the Instructions to Bidders referenced above to the project manager(s) at the e-mail addresses listed below. Emailed questions will suffice as questions in writing. If necessary, Addenda will be issued pursuant to the Instructions to Bidders. CITYS RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR REJECT BIDS City reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids. AWARD City will award a contract to the Bidder presenting the lowest price, qualifications and competencies considered.
