Remodeling of a municipal facility in Redwood City, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility.

**As of March 17, 2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on April 1, 2023.**  The City of Redwood City is now accepting bids for the Public Works Services Lobby Remodel Project. The work consists generally of removing existing work spaces, constructing and installing new walls and countertops, as well as the supply and installation of a bi-directional swing gate as outlined in Project Drawings A1-A2. Work shall be completed within 45 Days from the date when Contract Time commences to run. Bid Preparation Cost: Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparing their Bids. Reservation of Rights: City specifically reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all Bids, to re-bid, or to waive inconsequential defects in bidding not involving time, price or quality of the work. City may reject any and all Bids and waive any minor irregularities in the Bids. Required Contractors License(s): A California General ["A or B"] contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Required Contractor and Subcontractor Registration A. City shall accept Bids only from Bidders that (along with all Subcontractors listed in Document 00 4330, Subcontractor List) are currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Sections 1771.1(a) and 1725.5. B. Subject to Labor Code Sections 1771.1(c) and (d), any Bid not complying with paragraph 2.02A above shall be returned and not considered; provided that if Bidder is a joint venture (Business & Professions Code Section 7029.1) or if federal funds are involved in the Contract (Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)), City may accept a non-complying Bid provided that Bidder and all listed Subcontractors are registered at the time of Contract award. Substitution of Securities: City will permit the successful bidder to substitute securities for any retention monies withheld to ensure performance of the contract, in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300. Prevailing Wage Laws: The successful Bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. Copies of the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the Contract, as determined by Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations, are on file at City Hall, and may be obtained from the California Department of Industrial Relations website electronically. Upon request, City will make available copies to any interested party. Also, the successful Bidder shall post the applicable prevailing wage rates at the Site. Prevailing Wage Monitoring: This Project is subject to prevailing wage compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Payment Bond: A. If the Project described in Document 00 1115 (Notice Inviting Bids) involves an expenditure in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), the successful Bidder must file a payment bond with and approved by City prior to entering upon the performance of the Work, in accordance with Civil Code Section 9550, et seq.
