Prime Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Department of Property and Management Construction, prior to the date that bids are received. Any bids submitted under the terms of New Jersey Statutes not including a copy of a valid and active Pre-qualified/Classification Certificate and New Jersey Department of Labor Contractor Registration Certificate may be rejected as being non-responsive to bid requirements. The following DPMC-Classified Trade(s) and License(s) may be required by the Overall Prime Bidder and/or their subcontractors: C008 General Construction C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions. C032 Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR). Bids must be addressed to the NORTH HANOVER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION; 331 Monmouth Road; Wrightstown, New Jersey 08562; Attn.: Amy Lerner, Business Administrator/Board Secretary. All bids received at the designated location on or before the designated time and date in this advertisement (or any addenda hereto), shall be opened and read publicly at the above time and date. The Bidder assumes full responsibility for appropriate delivery (via whatever means, including mail) on or before the designated time and to the designated location. The District is not responsible for any bids that fail to be delivered on or before the designated time, and to the designated location specified by this advertisement, regardless of fault. Electronic (e-mail) submissions will not be accepted. The NORTH HANOVER TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION and SCHILLER & HERSH ASSOCIATES, INC. assume no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. Bidders shall note that the North Hanover Board of Education, SCHILLER & HERSH ASSOCIATES, INC. and its consultants shall not be responsible for the Bidder's procurement of the Bidding Documents from third party agencies as the information and documents provided by these agencies may be incomplete and/or inaccurate. Furthermore, the North Hanover Board of Education, SCHILLER & HERSH ASSOCIATES, INC. and its consultants shall not be responsible for error and omissions published by third party agencies. Sealed bids shall be received as a SINGLE CONSTRUCTION contract for all work, goods and services required to complete the project. The bid must identify the name or names of all subcontractors to whom the Prime Bidder will subcontract the furnishing of: (1) Plumbing and Gas Fitting; (2) Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration; (3) Electrical Work, including any electrical power plant, tele-data, fire alarm, or security system; (4) Structural Steel and Ornamental Iron Work, and (5) General Construction ("Prime Subcontractors"). Each of the Prime Subcontractors shall be qualified in the same manner as the Prime Bidder, in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. If none are required, the Prime Bidder shall input "None" on the List of Subcontractors. Bid Forms, Instructions to Bidders, Specifications and other bid documents will be made available and may be examined by Bidders from the office of SCHILLER & HERSH ASSOCIATES, INC.; 636 Skippack Pike; Blue Bell, Pennsylvania 19422 during regular business hours, (beginning on 07 December 2022). Additional information, including a list of (registered) Prime Bidders, can be obtained from the Engineer. Subcontractors and vendors may obtain copies from registered Prime Bidders. There is no fee for the bidding documents. An electronic copy of the specifications and drawings will be made available to Prime Bidders; hard copies of the bidding documents will not be provided. Access to the electronic documents will be emailed to the Prime Bidder upon request and receipt of all the following information: Business name. Contact person. Business mailing address. Business phone number. Business facsimile number. Email address for whom bid documents are to be sent. Prime Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the State of New Jersey Public School Contract Law, N.J.S.A. Title 18A :18A. The withdrawal or modification to a Bid after the bid opening is not permitted. All bid security, except for the security of the three apparent lowest responsible Prime Bidders shall, if requested, be returned after ten days from the opening of the bids, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted, and the bids of such Prime Bidders shall be considered as withdrawn.
