Contractors who desire to become prequalified or to renew their prequalification for this letting must file with the Department of Transportation, Bureau of Construction, Room 322, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, Illinois 62764, a Contractor's Statement of Experience and Financial Condition no later than 4:30 PM prevailing local time, December 30, 2022. A contractor will not be prequalified for this letting unless the statement is received before the time and day established. The Department reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor or immaterial irregularities, informalities or technicalities, to advertise for new bids, or to request confirmation or clarification from any bidder regarding a bid. ILDOT - 105 - Widening, Reconstruction and Extending Dauberman Road The project is located along Dauberman Road, from approximately 1,900 feet north of US Route 30, extending south past its existing southern terminus at US Route 30 to a proposed southern terminus at Granart Road. Additionally, the project is located along US Route 30, from approximately 1,000 feet west of Dauberman Road to approximately 1,800 feet east of Dauberman Road. The gross and net lengths are 6,104.00 feet (1.16 miles) along Dauberman Road, 2,791.84 feet (0.53 miles) along US Route 30, 1,215.00 feet (0.23 miles) along Granart Road, and 1,054.83 feet (0.20) miles for the proposed jughandle Connector Road in the northeast corner of the intersection of Dauberman Road and US Route 30. The project is located in the Village of Big Rock and Big Rock Township, Kane County. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT This project involves widening, reconstructing, and extending Dauberman Road, and widening and reconstructing US Route 30 and Granart Road. Single span bridges with PPC beams and MSE wall abutments will be constructed on Dauberman Road over US Route 30 and over the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway. The work consists of pavement removal; shoulder removal; roadway reconstruction; pavement widening; sidewalk and multiuse path; grading; storm sewer and drainage structure installation; concrete box culverts; stormwater detention ponds; maintenance of traffic; erosion control; landscaping; pavement markings; bridge construction; MSE wall; relocation and adjustments; and all incidental and collateral work as necessary to complete the improvement shown herein and as described in the specifications.
