Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Seneca, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.

You are invited to bid on a single general contract for Main Street Reconstruction, 11th Street to 7th Street described in general as follows Base Bid: Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for reconstruction of Main Street from 11th Street to 7th Street including 180 cubic yards of common excavation; 1,205 cubic yards of rock excavation (removal of existing brick and pavement); 1150 cubic yards of compaction of earthwork; installation of approximately 6,496 square yards of concrete pavement; 1,840 linear feet of curb and gutter; 2,120 square feet of concrete sidewalk; temporary traffic control; construction staking; temporary erosion control & permanent restoration; and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Bid Alternate 1 (Colored Crosswalk): Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for reconstruction of 256 square yards of colored concrete crosswalk pavement instead of non-colored crosswalk pavement as bid as a part of Base Bid. Add Alternate 1 (North Sidewalk): Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for reconstruction of 8,176 square feet of concrete sidewalk; 198 square yards of concrete pavement; and approximately 8 water meter box lid adjustments. Add Alternate 2 (South Sidewalk): Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for reconstruction of 6,262 square feet of concrete sidewalk and 48 square yards of concrete pavement. Add Alternate 3 (Storm Sewer): Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for reconstruction of 19 storm sewer structures; adjustment of approximately 60 linear feet of water main; and 685 linear feet of storm sewer pipe. Add Alternate 4 (Street Lighting): Work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for construction of 17 pull boxes; approximately 2948 linear feet of conduit; approximately 3260 linear feet of conductor wire; removal and storage of 14 existing light poles; 15 new light pole foundations; and installation of 15 new light poles & luminaires. Contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. must register or log-in to view and/or download Bidding Documents. Complete sets of Bidding Documents must be used in preparing Bids; neither OWNER nor ENGINEER assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. For any questions regarding ordering or viewing of the Bidding Documents please contact the OWNER. Bid Security will be required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids are solicited by and the construction contract will be with the City of Seneca, Kansas. This Project is not federally funded. Experience constructing the types of improvements described above and detailed in the Bidding Documents will be required for award. Bidder qualifications may be required in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Contract time will be set in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Agreement. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. Bidder's attention is called to the required compliance with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Procedures for the Disinfection of Water Mains for any water main adjustment work associated with the project as described in Appendix A. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the presidents Executive Order No. 11246 as amended and the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1991. Bidders on this work, including subcontractors or vendors, will be required to comply with the Kansas Act Against Discrimination (K.S.A. 44-1001 et. seq.) and the Kansas Age Discrimination in Employment Act (K.S.A. 44-1111 et. seq.)
