The engineering design and bidding assistance for installation of approximately 1800 feet of Storm Sewer (primarily 36 inch pipe), and all related inlet structures, manholes, and flared end sections. The design work will be required within 60 days of awarded contract, and applications completed for all necessary Illinois Environmental Protection Agency permits for sewer (if required), and any County stormwater permit. The consultant engineer is expected to work closely with the Village staff on all aspects of this project, and to perform the work in a manner acceptable to the Director of Public Works. The proposal will need to include full construction design engineering documents for installation, including any replacement of existing pipes or structures. Enclosed you will find a map showing the extent of the project, and a proposed concept from a previous consultant study. It is the intent of the Village of Addison to bid the project in the spring of 2023, for a construction start date in the summer of 2023. Design, plan development, and bid documents are required within 60 days of authorization to proceed (expected award date of January 17, 2023). All construction work must be completed within 90 - 120 days after the award of bid, including installation of new a storm sewer, and restoration.
