Demolition and site work for a residential development in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 20,678-square-foot residential development; for site work for a 206,824-square-foot residential development; and 21,156-square-foot residential development.
The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to solicit bids to furnish/provide Demolition Services. The City seek a single contractor to provide Demolition Services at three locations: (1) Former Huntington Middle School, 3401 Orcutt Avenue; (2) C. Waldo Scott Center, 3100 Wickham Avenue; and (3) Doris Miller Community Center & Pool, 2814 Wickham Avenue. All work associated with the demolition of the existing school buildings and related site work in preparation for a future construction project. The site work generally includes but is not limited to the removal of existing site improvements, full and partial building demolition, installation of weather protection for buildings that remain, installation of construction fencing, installation of erosion and sediment controls, rough grading with compacted soil, and final seeding. Portions of the site not included in the defined work areas shall be excluded from Work associated with this contract. Question Submission Deadline:January 10, 2023, 1:00pm
