Renovation of a water / sewer project in Methuen, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
For the removal and replacement of the HVAC unit in the Water Treatment Plant's electrical room. All questions must be submitted no later than 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, 2022, to be considered. An addendum of responses to questions will be emailed to all plan holders on file by 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of CERTIFIED CHECK, or BID BOND issued by a responsible bank or trust company licensed to do business in the State of Massachusetts in the amount of 5% of the total bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) workdays after the date set for the opening thereof. A payment bond of an amount equal to 50 % percent of the total amount of the bid with a surety company satisfactory to the city, as surety, will be required for the payment for all labor and materials used in the work. Such bonds shall be prepared by a surety company licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G. L. Chapter 149, Section 44A, et seq. and the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39S. The City of Methuen reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids, to waive any informality, or to accept the bids, if it be in the public interest to do so.
