The City of Methuen invites sealed bids to replace the 2,300 square foot retaining wall that supports the south side of Charles Street, and to make improvements in on-street and public lot parking, construct a new traffic pattern at the intersection of Lawrence Street and Osgood Street in accor- dance with the plans and specifications prepared by TEC, Inc. The work is estimated to cost $1.2 million Bids are subject to MGL c.30 39M and to minimum wage rates as re- quired by MGL c.149 26 to 27H inclusive, as amended. Bids shall be ac- companied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to the City of Methuen. Pursuant to MGL c.30 39S, any person submitting a bid for, or signing a contract to work on, a public works project estimated to cost more than $10,000, must certify under the pains and penalties of perjury that he or she is able to furnish labor in harmony with all other elements of labor employed in the work and that all employees on the worksite, or in work subject to the bid, have successfully completed at least ten (10) hours of OSHA approved training. The City of Methuen reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City to do so.
