The County of Jersey Notice to Bid Demolition of House Demolition & Removal of Residential Structure Notice is hereby given that the County of Jersey, Illinois, will accept the sealed bids for Demolition and Removal of a certain residential structure and other debris located within the Incorporated (City of Jerseyville) area of Jersey County, per the specifications attached to the bid form. The parties contemplate that the Contractor will demolish all structures on private property that are
authorized by the County Board Chairman. Among its duties related to demolition of the standing structures,
Contractor shall disconnect and cap the sewer and water line, fill basement area (if applicable), coordinate all
required disconnects by private utility companies, and obtain all demolition or other permits associated with these
operations. Contractor is to safely access the structure, including garages and detached outbuildings, and remove
all white goods, e-waste and debris for disposal. If Contractor encounters asbestos building materials, the
Contractor shall abate such condition. Contractor will transport all Hazardous Waste (including asbestos products
encountered in demolition of standing private structure) to a licensed disposal site. Contractor will not place
Hazardous Waste on public right ofway Scope of Work
Obtain a Demolition Permit from the Jersey County Code Administration office (permitfee
waived for County project)
Utility services cut off; power, gas and sewer;
3. Demolition of entire structure, including all footings
Cap off city sewer;
5. Clean site completely of debris and remove any dumpster;
7. Dress the site (seeding/hay, erosion control, etc.);
8. Call for inspections of(1) demolition and (2) clean-up; and
9. Demolish structures within ninety (90) days ofNotice to Proceed.
