Demolition, site work and new construction of a retail development in South Daytona, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a retail development; and for the construction of a retail development.
This project is included in the Volusia County fiscal years 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of December 7, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal years 2024. A detailed scope has not yet been released. Transit Services/Votran will replace shop lifts that have met their useful life and are obsolete. Parts are increasingly hard to come by and there is a shortage of qualified contractors. At least one of the shop lifts is underground and will require additional contract services to prepare for replacement. FTA grant funds will fund utilized for this project.
