The Department of Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Lobby Enclosure/Ballistic Glass Installation Services, at Auburn Area Office. Bids must address all of the services described in exhibit A entitled "Scope Of Work" that is included in the Proposed Agreement forms/exhibit sections of this IFB. Supply power from under the counter to the speakers.Install Kevlar sheeting around entire lobby counter and interior partition walls to prevent bullet penetration. Install Gypsum Wall Board (GWB) and restore any custom finishes to match existing.Finish the front face of the new counter walls to match existing.Touch up wall paint and replace acoustic ceiling panels as required.Contractor will ensure that the work area is kept clean and free of debris, as necessary, to maintain a safe working environment for staff. All debris, trash and packaging is to be disposed of off-site daily. All materials to be warrantied as per the manufacturer's warranty. Contractor to provide a one-year warranty on their workmanship.Contractor will provide detailed shop drawings for CHP to review prior to fabrication and construction.All work shall be in compliance with the 2010 Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design, 2019 California Title 24, and Title 19 CCR, Public Safety and State Fire Marshall Regulations. Bidders shall immediately notify CHP if clarification is needed regarding the services sought or questions arise about the IFB and/or its accompanying materials, instructions, or requirements. Award of the agreement, if awarded, will be to the responsive and responsible bidder that offers the lowest cost. The lowest cost will be determined after CHP adjusts bidder costs for applicable preferences and/or incentives.
