Project Name: SR89/SR89A TI Project (TRACS) Number: F0596 01D District: North west Route/MP: SR89A / MP 317.3 to 319.0 Funding Source: State Legislative Appropriation Construction Funding FY: FY 2024 This project consists of final design for the SR89 and SR89A traffic interchange. The project will develop SR89A eastbound onramp improvements from SR89 to the Granite Creek Bridge along the existing frontage road and on-ramp. The improvements will look at utilization of the existing SR89 SB dual left turn lanes and horizontal/vertical geometries to improve safety and operations at the on-ramp, the merge onto SR89A, the frontage road and the gores as outlined in the On-Ramp Alternatives Selection Report prepared through CYMPO. The design consultant shall lead project development that will provide SR89A on-ramp improvements. The scope of work includes: - Review of available record drawings and conduct full field survey as needed for final design. - Development of a scoping document to identify work to be included in the final design with input from ADOT team members and other stakeholders. - Drainage and traffic reports as needed for final design. Pavement design will be completed by ADOT staff. - Environmental analysis and technical reports to support ADOT EPG in providing the Categorical Exclusion. - Perform necessary utility investigations, right-of-way determinations, and associated coordination to obtain utility and right-of-way clearances. - Assist ADOT Communications staff with public involvement outreach during final design. - Preparation of a scoping memo to verify scope per the completed Alternative Selection Report. - Stage submittals will consist of Stage II, Stage III, Stage IV and Final PS&E The consultant shall include preparation of a bid package which includes construction plans, technical specifications and estimates for construction. The design consultant shall also provide necessary project management tasks including coordination, meetings, project schedule updates and comment responses. Document retention, project schedule, and risk register updates within the Workfront platform will be required.
