Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Whiteville, Tennessee. Design plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Location 3: Welcome Valley Road to the bridge over Cloud Branch Add a center two-way turning lane, six-foot paved shoulders, a 10-foot shared use path, and replace the bridge over Cloud Branch. Location 4: Bridge over Cloud Branch to east of SR 314 Add a center two-way turning lane, six-foot paved shoulders, a 10-foot shared use path, and replace the bridge over Cloud Branch. As of October 2024, TDOT is currently working with the Appalachian Regional Commission on a targeted approach. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been disclosed. Locations 3 AND 4 along the corridor are scheduled for construction in fiscal year 2026
