Renovation of an educational facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's or bank check or Bid Guarantee Bond in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid made payable to Hamilton County Department of Education (Owner), and subject to the conditions provided in the instructions for bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds in amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond. The Hamilton County Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive technicalities and informalities, and to award a contract to other than the low bidder. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted electronically to doe_purchasing@hcde.org no later than January 9, 2023, prior to the Opening/Due date designated herein. Failure to submit a question in the timeframe indicated above may result in the question going unanswered at the discretion of HCS. From the Notice to Proceed or the Purchase Order date, whichever applies: 180 calendar days to substantial completion, 30 calendar days from substantial completion to final completion (total contract days 210). The Contract Period is expected to begin February 17, 2023 or soon thereafter.
