Remodeling and renovation of a mixed-use development in Estill, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 50,118-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.
The project is the Estill High School Conversion to Elementary School. The school was an existing high school serving this Estill area. This project will consist of select demolition of 8 existing high school classrooms to convert them to elementary classrooms. The scope consists of miscellaneous concrete and masonry demolition and patching, miscellaneous structural steel, new casework, fire-stopping, new hollow metal doors and frames, hardware, sheet rock, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, acoustical panels, painting, division 10 accessories, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Performance and Payment bond may be required in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price; therefore, subcontractors and suppliers should be prepared to state the amount necessary as an alternate amount, independent of their proposal for work, should it be determined by the General Contractor to require these bonds.
