Site work and renovation of a civil project in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Work under this contract relates to refurbishment of watermain piping and valves within specific Access Vaults (M.H. E-2 to M.H. E-14) in the Old Town Loop of the Utilidor, which consists of, but not necessarily limited to the below items as noted in the drawings and specifications. Pre-, and Post-cleaning video inspection of watermain piping; Cleaning and sanitization of access vaults; Replacement of galvanized steel water main piping and valves with 304 Schedule 40 Stainless Steel between vault penetrations and hydrant connections. Mechanical cleaning and epoxy lining of steel pass-through stubs (vault penetrations) from inside vault, depending on pipe condition from video inspection; Temporary bypass of the proposed vaults to maintain community water distribution; Temporary water service supply to residents, and; Flushing and disinfection of water system and system start up.
